Details About Your Stay
The water at the cottage is potable. For the extra comfort of our guests you will find two Brita filtration jugs available for use in the main refrigerator.
A basic allotment of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, and tissues is available in the cabin.
At this time a limited amount of firewood is included in your booking. It works out to be approximately two bundles, however we are securing seasoned and split firewood from a local supplier and will have some options available at cost should guests want to have more. We do not make any money off of the firewood but would like to keep this amenity sustainable. Guests are also welcome to bring their own.
Guests must provide their own lifejackets to ensure proper fit and safety.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is 4:00pm on the day of your arrival. Check-out is 10:00am on the day of your departure. Due to the necessity to adequately inspect, clean and sanitize the property before and after each guest, it can be difficult to accommodate early arrivals or late check-out times. However, we will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests.
We accept payments in cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
To reserve the cottage a minimum $300.00 deposit must be made immediately upon booking. For reservations longer than 7 nights, the deposit is $500.00.
Full payment must be made 14 days prior to booking or the reservation is considered cancelled.
Full refunds will be provided up until 14 days prior to arrival. For cancellations between 7-14 days prior to arrival, only 50% of the deposit will be returned. The deposit is non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 7 days of arrival.
Pets and Smoking
We do not allow pets on the property. Smoking is prohibited in the cabin, on deck areas, or in the garage. If you smoke elsewhere on the property you must pick up your butts.
Number of Guests
We can accommodate a maximum of 10 people in the cottage, consisting of a maximum of 6 adults and 4 children. We will allow more than 6 adults, however there is an extra fee of $30 per additional adult and the total occupancy still cannot exceed 10 persons. In accordance with our insurance and community agreements, we cannot accommodate any extra guests. We appreciate your understanding!
Snow Removal and Parking
The snow will be cleared on the property and deck areas prior to your arrival. This will clear adequate parking and provide safe access to the hot tub and deck areas. Should any further snow clearing be required by guests there are shovels located just inside and outside the entrance. In the event guests experience reduced traction on the driveway (depending on tires and AWD vs 2WD), we have provided de-icing salt in the large bin beside the main door which you are welcome to use. Please only use as much as necessary. The use of the heated garage may be made available upon request.
Use of the BBQ
The BBQ is and the available propane are for guest use. If you empty the tank during an extended stay, we request that you inform us before your departure. Please clean the grill after each use.
We ask that you leave the cottage in the state that it was when you arrived so that we can do a thorough cleaning for our next guests.
All garbage and recycling should be removed from the cottage and placed in the side area of the garage with the door securely shut. Dishes must be cleaned and put away, any spills or messes should be properly cleaned, the floors should be swept and/or vacuumed. Remember to clear the refrigerator of food items.
We do not expect you to dust, mop the floors or do the laundry from the bedding or towels. Please leave all linens on the beds and place used towels in the large white laundry basket in the entrance.
Everything else should be left exactly as it was when you arrived!
